My right ear finally opened!

I was born deaf. When I was seven, I began to wear a hearing aid on my right ear and started to hear the sounds of people, but I could not understand it. At the age of nine, I started attending church and felt peace and happiness when I learned there is heaven.

In July 2008, I was guided to Manmin Central Church with my husband. I was amazed by Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee’s spiritual messages such as “The Message of the Cross” and “The Measure of Faith”. Pastor Junghoon Ji, my husband, also received much grace from his sermons and delivered the holiness gospel to many deaf people in Malaysia via the online video conference system. When Penang Manmin Church for the Deaf was established in 2010, my husband went to minister to the church. Since then, he has been spreading the ministry of Manmin to many deaf people in other countries including Thailand, Germany, and Denmark.

When I heard that many members were healed by Senior Pastor’s prayer, and especially when deaf people including my husband came to hear by the prayer, I also wanted to hear and felt excited. In the meantime, tinnitus occurred to me in my right ear in December 2017 and I could no longer use the hearing aid. I then became earnest. When I praised in Daniel Prayer Meeting, I prayed saying, “God, I want to hear the sound of the praise.” As the 2018 Manmin Summer Retreat drew near, I became more and more earnest. I wanted my ears to open and longed to help my husband serve deaf members with sign language service. I offered up prayer and fasting.

On the first night of the retreat, Rev. Soojin Lee prayed on the stage for the sick with the handkerchief on which Senior Pastor had prayed (Acts 19:11-12). I also received the prayer of Manmin Prayer Center President Boknim Lee. When she laid the handkerchief on me and prayed, the fire of the Holy Spirit came upon me and a sound of ‘Bang!’ was heard. The next day, I did not wear the hearing aid but I could hear the praise through my right ear!

I can hear now. I am so happy and full of grace. I now offer up the prayer of thanksgiving to God with tears. I give all thanks and glory to God who worked on me with the power of re-creation that regenerated my dead nerves and allowed me to hear.

How to protect me from coronavirus.

The World Health Organisation is recommending that people take simple precautions to reduce exposure to and transmission of the coronavirus, for which there is no specific cure or vaccine.

  • Frequently wash their hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or warm water and soap
  • Cover their mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue when sneezing or coughing
  • Avoid close contact with anyone who has a fever or cough
  • Avoid direct, unprotected contact with live animals and surfaces in contact with animals when visiting live markets in affected areas
  • Avoid eating raw or undercooked animal products and exercise care when handling raw meat, milk or animal organs to avoid cross-contamination with uncooked foods
  • Seek early medical help if they have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, and share their travel history with healthcare providers

Coronavirus

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people. Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

Hearing Impairment and Ear Noise Healed

Ear Noise Healed

Brother Kailash(Age 26, Indore, India)

I lost hearing in my left ear after a fight with one of my friends in Feb. 2017. I lost confidence because it restricted my communication with others. I was always nervous I might lose my hearing in the right ear as well.
In August 2018, while surfing on the YouTube, I saw the prayer for the sick of Rev. Jaerock Lee. I was impressed by his earnest prayer and I called the number on the video, Delhi Manmin Church.
Pastor John Kim suggested I listen to the series “Message of the Cross” by Rev. Jaerock Lee. I learned about why God placed the tree of knowledge, why God cultivates human beings, and the providence of salvation through Jesus Christ.
I had been a Christian but only nominally. However, listening to those messages I was filled with happiness and joy because my spiritual thirst was quenched. I began to attend the live-broadcast of Manmin Central Church’s worship services on GCNTV Hindi channel, which changed my life.
On Jan. 14, 2019, there was a meeting of viewers of GCNTV Hindi channel, which I attended after fasting for a day. Pastor John Kim delivered a message and prayed for us with the handkerchief on which Rev. Jaerock Lee prayed (Acts 19:11-12). I could feel right at that moment that the hearing in my left ear was coming back.
After I fasted for 3 days, I attended the special healing session in the Friday all-night service on Jan. 25. After the handkerchief prayer of Pastor Soojin Lee, I was able to hear very well. Hallelujah!
I prepared for this special healing session in February with prayers, listening to the Senior Pastor’s sermons “Message of the Cross” and “Love Chapter”. I realized I had loved the world and I had been full of hatred and anger. I repented of them. I was happy that I could realize my sins through the messages. After I received the prayer in the special healing session on Feb. 22 Friday all-night service, the ear noise was also gone.
As I shared my testimony and the living God with the people around me, now 15-20 people attend the live broadcast of worship services together on GCNTV Hindi channel. The senior pastor’s messages are true words of life that can’t be found anywhere else. I’d like to become an instrument to spread this blessed messages to numerous souls in India.

Genesis 8:6 ~ 14
[6] Then it came about at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made;
[7] and he sent out a raven, and it flew here and there until the water was dried up from the earth.
[8] Then he sent out a dove from him, to see if the water was abated from the face of the land;
[9] but the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, so she returned to him into the ark, for the water was on the surface of all the earth. Then he put out his hand and took her, and brought her into the ark to himself.
[10] So he waited yet another seven days; and again he sent out the dove from the ark.
[11] The dove came to him toward evening, and behold, in her beak was a freshly picked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth.
[12] Then he waited yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; but she did not return to him again.
[13] Now it came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water was dried up from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dried up.
[14] In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is 117th Lecture on Genesis. In the last lecture, I said we can learn a couple of lessons from the fact that Noah sent out a bird.First, faith is followed by deed.

Before the Great Flood, Noah established perfect obedience to God’s word.At this time, however, he was in the level of just obeying the word in a situation given by God. For example, God gave him all the instructions as how to build the ark and what to do.God Himself worked even when loading the animals into the ark.

After the judgment of the flood, however, the human cultivation began anew.As the judgment of flood was about to end, God was leading Noah to show his deeds all by himself. God was leading Noah so that Noah would be inspired in what to do by himself and accomplish the will of God.

The Israelites who just escaped from Egypt crossed the Red Sea entirely by the grace of God. But when they crossed the Jordan River, they had to show their deed of faith.God led them to show their deeds as much as their faith grew up.

Our Jesus also guided people to show even minimal faith as He manifested the power. It was the case when He made the man blind from birth open his eyes and see. He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, and said, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam.”

Did He say this because he couldn’t heal the eyes of the blind man only with His words? Was it because the pool of Siloam had something special to do with opening his eyes?He guided the blind man to show his deed of believing in the word of Jesus and obeying it. It was because, only then, he could believe Jesus as the Savior and receive eternal life.

As you can see, when people do what they are supposed to do before God, or when they obey without using their thoughts, it can be recognized as faith, and they can experience the work of God. And through this process, their faith in God can grow up, and they will eventually reach salvation.

You may feel that, during the course of your faith growing up, it seems slower to receive answer than before. Chances are that it can be due to the wall of sin. But if you find no wall of sin when you look back, chances are more likely that it is in the process of God’s checking your trust in Him.

When a baby is too young to walk, parents can hold him and carry the child on their backs. When the child has to walk by himself, even when he falls down and cries, they don’t hold him unconditionally. It is because, if they always hold him out of pity, he will never walk on his own by himself. There are times when the Father of our spirit lets us grow like this.

And so, if you feel as if you were all alone in the course of refinement, remember what I just said. I hope that you can understand the good will of the Father God and His deep love. And I wish that you will never grow disheartened or despaired, but just get up and stand again.

Dear brothers and sisters,

From the fact that Noah used birds to see if the water was abated, secondly, we can see that it had become more difficult to communicate with God. Before the Great Flood, Noah could communicate with God clearly, and hear and learn many things from Him.

Once the flood began, however, the situation was changing. As the flood began, the original light was completely withdrawn from the earth, and the force of the flesh grew stronger. On the 1st day of the Creation, when God said “Let there be light,” the original light surrounded this earth.

From the moment Adam was driven out to this earth after he committed sin, the original light began to be withdrawn. To the extent the original light was withdrawn, the creatures on this earth began to reveal their original fleshly attributes. However, the original light was stronger, and thus there wasn’t much trouble in communicating with God.

But the original light was completely gone after the flood and the original fleshly attributes became much stronger. Therefore, communicating with God required much greater effort and more deeds in action and faith. Before, it was easy to communicate with God by the grace of God, but now much more effort and toil became necessary to go through the spiritual realm.

How much more true is it in this end time when sin and evil prevail so much worse? You have to pile up countless prayers and fasting to pass through the spiritual realm and communicate with God. Fortunately, unlike the days of the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit dwells in the hearts of God’s children. So please, do not cease, but be awake and pray always in the Holy Spirit. I hope that you can receive the clear voice and inspiration of the Holy Spirit so that you can be guided from the darkness into the bright light.

Brothers and sisters, when Noah wanted to see if the water was abated, he used a raven and a dove. Genesis 8:7 says, “and he sent out a raven, and it flew here and there until the water was dried up from the earth.”Even the raven flew here and there until the water was dried up from the earth, it didn’t bring the answer to Noah. Eventually, the raven didn’t become any help to Noah.

It was not the raven but the dove that brought the answer Noah was waiting for.Why did Noah send a bird out from the ark?It was to hear the good news, “The water was abated, and the water was dried up from the earth so that they can live there.”The raven didn’t bring in this news, but the dove brought this news to Noah. Noah could know about the world outside the ark not through the raven, but through the dove.

Now, are you a worker in the kingdom of God like the raven, or like the dove? Please look back on yourself to see what you did when you were given instructions to do something in an organization. Did you act only by the instructions that were given, or were you one of those people who did nothing at all?Or, did you do more than what you were instructed to do?

Among this 3 categories, who would please and satisfy your boss the most?It is the one who does more than instructed. The same apples not only in the church, but also in any organizations in the world. If you want to achieve recognition and succeed, you must do more than your given roles require.

In most cases when you say it is hard to work in your company, chances are that you don’t even take care of your duties. If you are short of capability, you should constantly make efforts to increase those capabilities. In addition to that, you must enlarge your heart vessel.

And it is the same in your believing life. When God the Father finds a child who not only obeys but also does more than that, He is touched and expresses His love.Proverbs 25:13 says, “Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.”

If you refresh the heart of God the Father, you will receive answers whenever you pray.By the way, the reason there was difference between the deed of the raven and that of the dove was that their heart vessel and heart soil were different.Even though it is the same seed, depending on what soil you plant it, the taste or the character of its fruit is different.

Likewise, even when the same seed of ‘word’ falls into the hearts of all men, the result can be different according to their heart field. Some may yield only as much as it is sown, or much less than that. On the other hand, there are other cases that yield 30, 60, and 100 times more fruit. Depending of the state of the heart field, and the size of the heart field, the result will be decided.

Therefore, I urge you to diligently cultivate your heart filed into a good field. And at the same time, break your self-righteousness and frameworks to enlarge the size of your heart. If you can understand what God the Father wants from you and do it according to His heart, how much will it refresh His heart! Furthermore, if you do much more than that, Father God will be touched in His heart and He will ask, “What shall I do for you?”May you become like this faithful messenger in the sight of God, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!

[Scripture]

Genesis 8:6 ~ 14
[6] Then it came about at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made;
[7] and he sent out a raven, and it flew here and there until the water was dried up from the earth.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, This is 116th Lecture on Genesis.

The water that covered the entire earth during the flood steadily decreased. In Noah’s 600th year, on the 1st day of the 10th month, the tops of the mountains became visible. 40 days later from this day, Noah sent a bird out of the ark to see if the water had abated.

He first sent out a raven. Then the raven flew here and there as the water was drying up from the earth until it was dry.The raven actually was no real help to Noah. And so, Noah sent out a dove the next time. But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, so she returned to the ark. Noah put out his hand and took the dove, and brought her into the ark to himself. He could see that the water was still on the surface of all the earth.

So seven days later, he sent out the dove from the ark again. The dove came to him toward evening, and in her beak was a freshly picked olive leaf. ‘A fleshly picked olive leaf’ means that the water was almost abated from the earth. Another seven days later, Noah sent out the dove; but she did not return to him this time.

Noah met a new year in the ark.In his six hundred and first year, on the 1st day of the 1st month, Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked around to see the surface of the ground was dried up.Yet still, he didn’t get out of the ark. It was because God didn’t tell him anything yet. On the 27th day of the 2nd month, the land was dry and God told Noah to come out of the ark.

Brothers and sisters, from the fact that Noah sent out a bird, we can learn a couple of lessons. First, faith is followed by deed. God knew how much the water was abated. But He didn’t tell Noah about it on all such occasions. He let Noah check for himself how much the water was abated.

Since God is almighty, those who believe in God can understand all things and do all things by communicating with God. However, those with the ‘full assurance of faith’ are inspired of what they should do to get help from God.

They don’t just say, “LORD, I believe” without doing what they are supposed to do or what they must do. It is because the ‘full assurance of faith’ can be given from above to those who accomplish the ‘sincere heart.’A ‘sincere heart’ is the heart filled with goodness, love and truth that God desires. Those with a sincere heart never violate the justice and seek their own benefit. Those who have a sincere heart in full assurance of faith are aware of what they should do to meet justice when they need to receive an answer. According to it, they do what they are supposed to, and sow what they should sow.

The reason God the Father is conducting human cultivation is to acquire such children as these who have a sincere heart. And to these with a sincere heart, God gives the ‘full assurance of faith’ from above so that they can reveal the glory of God by faith.

What if a man could receive answer just by saying, “I believe,” even though he doesn’t have a sincere heart? It would be the same as parents do whatever their child wish even though the child doesn’t do his/her duty.

Say, your child has homework. But he doesn’t want to do his homework, but to play instead.Would you do his homework and go to school for him?No matter how difficult it is for him to manage, you would never do it for him. Children should do what they are supposed to do to get the knowledge and skills they need. Only then can they grow up to carry out their roles in their communities.

Of course, their parents can help them during the process. Parents can help with their children’s homework, and encourage them too. But doing their homework for them is completely different from helping them with their homework.

By the same token, when the children of faith face difficulty or trial, God can manifest His power for those who seek it. But God does not cause difficulties, trials, or refinements to come upon them at all.It is because through the process of overcoming them, they will feel the love of God and accomplish a sincere heart.

Tonight’s scripture talks about the end of the Great Flood. And now, the human cultivation would begin anew. As the new human cultivation began, God was leading Noah to show his deeds all by himself. Of course, even before this, Noah was the man who established perfect obedience to God’s word.

Before the flood, however, he was in the level of just obeying the word in a situation given by God. God gave him all the instructions as how to build the ark and what to do.God taught him like this and guided him. God Himself worked even when loading the animals into the ark. From now on, however, God was leading Noah so that Noah would be inspired in what to do by himself and accomplish the will of God.

Those amazing works of faith in the Bible are surely done by God.When examined carefully, however, they were accompanied with the forefathers’ deeds of faith.

For example, when the Israelites who escaped from Egypt were about to cross the Jordan River, what did they do?Did God first stop the overflowing currents of the Jordan River? And then, did the Israelites check the bottom of the river and step onto the river bed?In the beginning of Exodus, when they crossed the Red Sea, the Israelites’ faith was so weak, and thus God divided the Red Sea first and then let them cross.

For the 2nd generation of Exodus, who were trained in the wilderness, the situation was different. That is, their faith grew up to that extent. And so, God let the priests who carried the ark of covenant step into the river first. When they conquered the city of Jericho, that was the first hurdle to the land of Canaan, God didn’t take care of it all; He instructed the Israelites what to do.

With His power, God could have made the city of Jericho collapse in an instant, but He let the Israelites show their deed of faith. That is, He let them walk around the city once a day for 6 days, and 7 times on the 7th day and shout. The Israelites obeyed the word, and the city of Jericho fell by the power of God.Just imagine how much their trust in God grew up ever stronger in their hearts through this. They must have had such strong faith since all they had to do was just obey the word of God!

[13] Now it came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water was dried up from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dried up.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is 115th Lecture on Genesis.

Genesis 8:3~14 explains how the water decreased and the surface of the earth dried up.The Great Flood began in the 600th year of Noah’s life, in the 2nd month, on the 17th day of the month.’Noah entered the ark a week before, which was the 10th day of the 2nd month. The rain fell upon the earth for 40 days and 40 nights, and the water prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.

At the end of these 150 days, from the 17th day of the 7th month, the water began to decrease. The next year, on the 1st day of the 1st month, all the water receded and the land was dried up.And yet, Noah didn’t come out of the ark until the 27th day of the 2nd month.

Now, how long did Noah stay inside the ark?The day Noah entered the ark was on the 10th of the 2nd month in the 600th year of his life, which was a week before the Flood began. And he came out of the ark on the 27th day of the 2nd month in the 601st year. Therefore, Noah and others stayed inside the ark exactly for 1 year and 17 days.

Haven’t you noticed any interesting number which is related with Noah’s Flood? The number ’17’ appears on the important days. The flood began on the 17th of the 2nd month, and the water decreased on the 17th day of the 7th month. And Noah and others stayed inside the ark for a year and 17 days.

Why did God the Father do important works on those days that had something to do with this ’17’?It is because the number ’17’ has very special spiritual meaning. Spiritually, ’17’ has the meaning of ‘God the Father Himself personally does His work according to His will and providence.’

The Flood of Noah took place precisely when it was the time in the providence of God the Father. And so, God made the flood begin and the water decrease on the days which had number 17 in them.

As God the Father explained this, I could see that the number ’17’ has so much to do with me and this church as well. The day when I knelt down before God by the lead of my sister was April 17, 1974. The president of Manmin Prayer Center and I were married on the 17th day of January.

After I started this church in 1982, God showed us the vision of the Grand Sanctuary, and there were 17 members whose spiritual eyes opened by God. In June 17, 1995, ‘the Sound of Light Chorus’ of this church won the grand prize in the 14th Gospel Song Competition. Back then, the chorus had 3 members, and Pastor Soojin Lee was one of them.

From 1999, which was the 17th year of this church, we faced a turning point. We could understand the providence of God all the more clearly who leads this church and works for this church. That is, as the 3 trials that began from 1998 ended, we could proclaim the Five-Fold Gospel to the whole world. Through the mega-size overseas crusades which started from 2000, a whole new level of God’s power, which was different from the previous, began to be manifested. In September 1, 2005, GCN started to broadcast its first signal in the Empire State building in NY. And its broadcasting channel number was 17.

As you can see, the works of this church and the number 17 are very closely related. It is the another evidence that this church is in the middle of God the Father’s providence, and that God Himself personally governs and leads this church.

Dear brothers and sisters.

Genesis 8:3 says, “and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of one hundred and fifty days the water decreased.”God can make the water recede or decrease all at once. But He made the water receded gradually for 150 days.

What is the reason God did like this?It is to keep and follow the orders and rules that He Himself established. As the flood began, the original light of God was withdrawn, and the fleshly attributes of the earth were revealed. When the earth was surrounded with the original light, the spiritual flow and law was applied to the earth in part, but after the flood, the fleshly orders and rules were applied according to the flow of flesh. And so, God began to work following the orders and rules of the flesh from then on.

But then, what does keeping the orders and rules of the flesh have to do to with making the water recede gradually? The moment Noah and his family came out of the ark, the new human cultivation began on the earth. And proper environment should be prepared for men to live on the earth.

Even if the water recedes from the earth which was once entirely covered with the water, it doesn’t make a good living environment. Think about the flooded houses because of the heavy rainfall, typhoons, or tsunamis. Even if the water is gone from the flooded houses, men cannot live in those houses immediately afterward.

Likewise, it was not all ready when the water receded from the earth after the flood; preparations were necessary to make it so people could live there. If God had made the water disappear all at once, Noah and his family would have come out to the world which was not ready. This was not what God did; He renewed this earth according to the time when Noah and his family were to come out of the ark.

Until the living environment of the earth was naturally ready for the people and animals and birds and cattle to survive, God made the water recede gradually. When God the Father created the heavens and the earth, He didn’t create them all at once, did He?He did it gradually step by step for 6 days.

You must understand that you cannot completely ignore the order and law of the flesh as long as you live in the body of flesh in the fleshly space. When God heals diseases, He works following the order of a body.

For example, a member’s appendix burst and she was in great pain of peritonitis, but she was healed by faith. God showed the process of her healing in a vision. The dirty things which came out as her appendix burst didn’t disappear instantly. God arranged for them to be absorbed into the intestine first, and then to be discharged out of her body.

It was the same with Senior Deaconess Eun-Deuk Kim who was healed of third degree burns almost all over her body. God the Father has the power to make it whole and normal in an instant. But I saw God heal her gradually step by step at regular hourly intervals. He began making blood vessels and muscle tissues in her body, and generated new skin. As I was watching those processes, I thought to myself, “A fetus would grow up like this.”New flesh was generated from her skin, and I could see clearly the blood vessel in it.This process of healing took place much quicker than the normal healing in the fleshly world.

Of course, it is impossible for degree 3 burn skin to recover normally. However, even this impossible thing is possible by the power of God and the healing takes place much faster even though it is following the laws of the flesh. And yet, God the Father doesn’t skip but take all the steps according to the law and order of this fleshly space.

It is the same when God gives financial blessing to His beloved children. According to the basic law of ‘You reap as you sow,’ God blesses men according to their faith. God blesses some people to reap a good measure – pressed down, shaken together, and running over, and others to reap 30, 60, and 100 times more. Therefore, to reap without sowing is like mocking God.

No one is an exception from this law, ‘You reap as you sow.’ You must plant the seed of blessing and prepare your vessel to receive God-given blessing. Only when you receive blessing through this process, can you feel fleshly satisfaction as well as true spiritual happiness.

Therefore, if it is an unmerited blessing, you should know it can be a source of calamity as well. You may enjoy fleshly satisfaction, but your soul can be devastated. As you don’t become poor in spirit, you will lose your panting for grace.

But those who are prosperous in everything as their spirit and soul prosper; they are safe. No matter how abundant the blessing they receive, their hearts will not be toward the world, but their hearts for God’s kingdom will grow strong.

Dear brothers and sisters, I said God the Father Himself keeps the creation order that He established. He works according to the justice without ignoring the law and order of the flesh. But, when it is in accordance with the spiritual justice, He can work much faster than the speed allowed in the fleshly space. He doesn’t skip any processes, though. He takes all the steps but the speed is faster.

The works of faith on this earth must be always in accordance with the justice both in a spiritual way and in a fleshly way. The deeper you come into spirit, the things you can comprehend becomes more refined and detailed. I pray in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, that you may truly receive God-given blessings by bearing this fact in your mind and applying it to your lives.

Genesis 7:24 ~ 8:2

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is 114th Lecture on Genesis.

Genesis 7:24 says, “The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.”The record that the entire earth was under the water for 150 days is true and it is a fact. The flood of Noah is not a myth or legend. I t was a huge event that actually took place. There are many evidences to prove it.I will group them into three categories, and explain them to you.

First off, there are the historical evidences. In the history of ancient civilizations all over the world there are legends about the flood. Researchers have found about 270 legends about the flood. These legends were collected in areas such as Europe, Asia, Australia, East India, Alaska, Greece, Finland, Ireland, Pacific Islands, the Philippine Islands, South America, Central America, North America, and East Africa. It means that the legend of the flood can be found all over the world.

Among the collected legends, some common things are found:”The flood was on an unprecedentedly huge scale.A big ship was built to escape from the flood. Not only man, but also various animals were loaded onto the ship.Only a few people survived the flood.”Native American Indians of North America had as many as 58 legends about the flood. These people were the native inhabitants on the land long before Columbus discovered the ‘New World.’

In the area of state of Michigan, where many Indians lived, many slabs of stone were discovered. On the slabs, there were story-telling pictures on several rows. The number of rows or pictures was different from slab to slab from different areas, but the stories were very similar to each other.Let me show you the clearest one and explain it to you.

On the slab, there are five rows with pictures. On the first row, there is the sun, and someone is worshipping toward the sky. On the second row, it is a picture of people drowning in the water. On the third row, there is a big ship, and a table with 40 cells or boxes (which means 40 days of rain.)On the 4th row, there is the sun and animals are coming out of the ship, and 4 men are shouting with great joy. (They must be Noah and his 3 sons.)On the 5th row, you can find a vivid rainbow of 7 lines.

How could ancient native North American Indians know this story and draw such pictures on these slabs? They knew the story even before Europeans moved to the American continent and handed the Bible over to them.

If such slabs as this had been found in the Middle East, people might have thought, “They were [geographically] close.”However, they were on the other side of the Earth from Middle East, on theAmerican continent, the story of the flood was found among the relics of ancient Indians – what does it tell you?It means they already heard the story of the flood from their ancestors.

By the way, among the many legends of the flood, as the place where the legends were heard gets closer and closer to the mountains of Ararat, the legends correspond to the Bible in greater detail. For example, the ‘Epic of Gilgamesh’ even tells us that animals were boarded as a pair – male and female, and that a dove was sent out to check how much the water decreased.

As you can see, whether it is close to mountain of Ararat or not, there are various legends regarding the flood. Through the fact that many countries of the world have passed down the legend of flood, you can confirm that there was an incident of the great flood that was at the core of those legends. That flood is the flood of Noah that is recorded in the Bible. Let me tell you about another bit of historical evidence. That is that the names of Noah’s descendants are used as the names of cities, nations, or tribes.

Genesis Chapter 10 records in detail the names of Noah’s descendants and the places they flourished. And Genesis 10:32 says, “These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.”As we trace back to the root of human history, we find this verse is true.

For example, the place Israel is located today is called the ‘Canaan Land.’Here, ‘Canaan’ was originally the name of a son of Ham who was the 2nd son of Noah. Among many sons of Ham, a son by the name of Canaan settled down in that area and flourished there.

400 years after the flood, God promised to give the land to Abraham and his descendants. Just as promised, the tribes of Israel (Jacob) took the land and established a nation. Beside this land of Canaan, the names of Noah’s descendants were used as the names of tribes, cities, and nations worldwide. This proves that the flood of Noah was the incident that truly took place.

Now, the second group of proofs are geologic and geomorphologic evidences.

To begin with, more than 75% of the earth’s surface consists of sedimentary layers formed in water. When the earth was completely covered with water, sedimentary layers appeared in a short period of time due to high and low tidal currents caused by gravitational forces between the sun, the moon, and the earth. The hills that had risen were eroded by the currents, and the sediments from the eroding of the hills piled up on lower plains forming layers of each of the different sedimentary components.

In fact, the areas of sedimentary layers that exist on the earth’s surface are incredibly vast.In each layer, the sediment is consistent in its components, and the boundaries of the layers are almost parallel to each other. Scientists eventually concluded that a world-wide flood such as Noah’s flood would be necessary to form such vast sedimentary layers on the earth’s surface.

I can also present geomorphologic evidences of Noah’s flood in ancient monuments and relics that have been found in the deep oceanic floors around the world. As scientific technology develops, people can now explorer the deep ocean using various devices. And they can also scan the topography of the ocean floor using seismic waves. In the deep ocean in many parts of the world, there are evidences of ancient cities and traces of civilizations that are being discovered. During the flood, due to the cataclysmic changes of the crust, such cities were submerged under the deep ocean.

Events of just the opposite also occurred. That is, the areas that had previously been seas were uplifted in the formation of mountains as the crust underwent great changes. That’s why many fossils of oceanic organism such as shellfish, fish, and seaweeds are found in Himalayan and Alps mountains. Moreover, most of rock layers of Grand Canyon at an altitude of 1,600 meters contain the fossils of oceanic organisms. In Peruvian Andes Mountains at an altitude of 4,000 meters, about 500 fossilized oysters were found. These things prove that Andes Mountains, Himalayan Mountains, and the mountains of the Alps were originally under water. But due to the uplift phenomenon [of plate tectonics] during the flood, they became high mountains.

The last evidence of Noah’s flood is the world’s population. The world population calculated mathematically from the original number of 8 people after the flood is consistent with the population of today. The calculation of population growth is very complex, and so I will not explain it to you in detail.

But, the Creation Science Bureau of this church calculated the population using the calculation formula used by United Nations. When they calculated the population based on the fact that mankind has flourished since the end of Noah’s flood, about 4,360 years ago, the calculated number (within normal limits) was identical to the (estimated) current world population.

If there had been no flood at the time of Noah, or if evolutionism were correct, the world population should be much greater than that of today. However, since the Bible is true, and the people who survived the flood of Noah numbered only 8, the population has become the current world population from that time and number.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

There is a big difference between when you believe the flood of Noah as a true fact and understand its spiritual meaning and when you do not.It is especially so to those who live in the end time.2 Peter 3:6~7 says, “. . .(water,) through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”Just as the world was judged with the flood in the days of Noah, by His word this world will be judged again with fire.On that day, ungodly men will be judged and destroyed.

When the flood of Noah fell upon the earth, those who distanced themselves from God and lived ungodly lives were all destroyed by the judgment. And the same judgment as the flood of Noah is coming nearer and nearer to those of today who distance themselves from God and live ungodly lives. Therefore, through the Bible, you should understand in your heart why the flood of Noah was necessary and who was saved. Those who understand in heart can prepare well for the upcoming judgment. They will not reach the destruction, but the salvation.

On the other hand, those who don’t believe in the ‘flood of Noah’ still live in sin and evil even if they are told that the judgment is coming. They are like those who ridiculed Noah and lived their lives as they saw fit as they witnessed the ark of Noah being built. Regarding this, Jesus said in Luke 17:26~27, “And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”

Those of you who listen to this lecture can now understand why the judgment of flood took place, and how true this fact was. So please, awaken spiritually all the more!Do any of you feel the believing life is hard to manage, or find it stuffy to remain inside the boundary of the church? If so, imagine the situation of Noah’s family.

In a fleshly sense, they might have felt that it was stuffy inside the ark, and the life in the ark must have been hard. But, would they have missed the world outside the ark?Would they have regretted entering the ark? Not at all! They were thankful for the fact they were inside the ark, and they could overcome all those days.

Therefore, I wish that you will be thankful all the time for receiving the grace of salvation from God.And I also wish that you will completely abide in the word of God, which is the spiritual ark, and always remain under His protection. At the same time, please preach the good news to the souls who haven’t entered the ark of salvation. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that you may become pleasure to the Father God who desires all men to be saved.

Dear brothers and sisters, Genesis 8:1 says, “But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.”Here, God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle.

What does it mean by saying that ‘God remembered them in the ark and caused the water subsided?’Though God the Father executed the judgment of flood in Justice, He wanted to restart human cultivation beginning with Noah and his family.

However, ever since the time of the Great Flood the nature of the flesh already begun to dictate the laws of this earth. It was because the original light of God was completely withdrawn as the flood began.God the Father knew when the water should be subsided so that the best living environment could be set for the survivors of the flood.God remembered not only Noah and his family, but also all the beasts and all the cattle, and set the environment to appear at the most appropriate time.

God the Father caused the water which covered the earth for 150 days to subside.God’s method to cause the water to subside was to ’cause a wind to pass over the earth.’And, Genesis 8:2 says, “Also the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained.”This verse describes the moment when the rain which came down for 40 days and 40 nights stopped.

God made the floodgates of the second heaven, which are connected to the ‘fountains of the deep’, to close so that the rain could stop coming down from the sky. You must pay attention to the expression. It says, “…the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed…”They were not ‘shut,’ but they were ‘closed.’

What is the difference between these two words? You may think they have similar meaning, but you must know there is a difference. If the word, ‘shut’ was used, it could mean that the floodgates of the sky were completely ‘shut down.’If so, the passageway for the water, which came down to this earth, to go back up to the second heaven would have been shut down as well. That is, even if a wind passed over the earth, and the water vaporized, there would have been no way to go up to the second heaven.

Therefore, God didn’t make the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky to be ‘shut down,’ but ‘closed.’He left the passageway between the second heaven and the first heaven open, but stopped the water from the second heaven from coming down to the first heaven any more. This job was managed by the 4 living creatures. In addition, the work of causing a wind to pass over the earth to cause the water to evaporate and be absorbed back to the second heaven was also managed by these 4 living creatures. The wind that the 4 living creatures made pass over was very strong wind. Therefore, the water on the earth could quickly go back to where it came down from.

But God let me know that this wind was not as violent or ferocious as a typhoon. As you can see, even when God caused the water which covered the entire earth to subsided, He did it according to the law of justice. Since God has so many powers, He could have opened any space in the first heaven and let there be a passageway to the second heaven.

But He didn’t do so; in fact, instead He caused the water to go back to where it had been. There is a verse which seems to describe this scene. It is Psalm 33:7. It says, “…He lays up the deeps in storehouses.”

Brothers and sisters, chances are that people cannot predict when a flood will take a place.Due to continuous development, nature has been seriously damaged and natural disasters are happening more frequently. They are not the plans of someone; nobody could expect them. However, the judgment of Noah’s flood was executed by the plan of God from beginning till its end.

When the rain should come down, how much it should rain, how much the water should increase, from when the water should be subsided and at what speed… all of these were governed by God.According to the date and the duration that God had set, the flood took place.

And Noah knew this plan of God because he clearly communicated with God.He was inspired to roughly understand that the flood would not end in just a couple of days; how long the water might cover the earth; and how long it would take for the water to subside. In much the same way, the people of God can foreknow what will happen in the future by communicating with God.Therefore, they can accomplish the works of God according to His will.

I urge you not to depend on your own understanding, but to depend on God with all your heart.Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”As you do so, may God make your paths straight and guide you in all your ways, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!

Scripture

Genesis 7:16 ~ 24
[16] Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.
[17] Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth.
[18] The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
[19] The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered.
[20] The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.
[21] All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind;
[22] of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.
[23] Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.
[24] The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is 113th Lecture on Genesis. In the previous lecture, I explained how the crust of the earth changed during the great flood.Due to the pressure of the water that covered the earth, phenomena of uplift and subsidence occurred. In addition, due to the gravity and the current of the water that swept the earth, sedimentary layers appeared on the crust. As a result, the topography of the earth changed greatly and became much different from the days before the flood.

What happened to the corpses of the countless dead people and dead animals? From now on, I will tell you about them. The place where Adam settled down after he came down the earth was the land of Israel of today. With this place as the center, human beings flourished, and expanded their territory. The Middle East area was the main home grounds for the early human beings.

And some of them soon moved to the areas of Northern Africa where Egypt is located. In other words, Middle East area and Northern Africa area were heavily populated areas.

As you think of the climate of those areas, you may wonder “How could so many people live in a place like that?” The climate over the entire earth then was a lot different from today. Even the polar regions were not as cold as today, and equator are was not as hot as today. Therefore, Middle East and Northern African areas had much better climate conditions for people to live than today. In addition, these areas were full of trees and plants.

Simply put, they were proper places for a heavy population to thrive. If you consider the countless cattle that belonged to people, these areas must have had a tremendous number of corpses and carcasses due to the judgment of flood. These countless corpses and carcasses were buried under the crust as changes were made to the topography.During the process of uplift or subsidence of the crust, the corpses were buried between the crust layers.

In a fleshly sense, they were simply buried under the ground, but it actually means the ‘judgment of God’ in a spiritual sense. Numbers 16:31~33 explains how those Israelites who stood against Moses after Exodus were cursed and destroyed by God.It says, “As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open; and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions. So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.”

Likewise, when God executed the judgment of flood, He first caused the people and animals to be buried in the water, and then had the ground split open and swallow their corpses. It was not simple burial due to crustal change; spiritually speaking, He split open the ground which spiritually means ‘hades,’ and threw them in there.

Because of the vast number of corpses of buried people and carcasses of animals, the Middle East now possesses a great amount of petroleum. In fact, 75% of world’s oil deposits can be found in the Middle East area. There are many hypotheses about how petroleum was made, but the most generally accepted thought is that it was made from sedimentation of living things.Along with the dead bodies of animals, a great amount of plants were deposited as well.

This is in accordance with the word of God and the Word He interpreted in the Bible. Since a lot of petroleum is deposited in the Middle East, can we call this area ‘a blessed land?’They might seem blessed right now, but you should know that it never was a blessing. This area has become the main stage for countless battles and the terrors of today, hasn’t it?Because of the petroleum deposits, they are suffering from various invasions of foreign forces. Except for the benefit of the moment, this area has become the land of curses, not the land of blessing.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Genesis 7:16 says, “(And those that entered…) entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.”

As it says, “the LORD closed it behind him,” it may somewhat contain a feeling of urging. It doesn’t mean that God the Father forced Noah to enter the ark.It has rather a meaning of “God Himself governed all things; He held and protected Noah, Noah’s family, and animals that entered the ark. Thanks to this compelling guidance and protection of God the Father, Noah and his family who entered the ark could survive without any difficulties.

If God persistently holds us and protects us, we can feel ourselves at home in any given situation. Even when we face a refinement, God refines us in the midst of blessings. During the course of refinements, blessings always came upon Abraham. Although he faced the test of losing his wife, as God the Father Himself governed it, he rather received blessing.

Joseph also received blessings during his refinements; all things were prosperous.Even when Joseph was sold salve, Genesis 39:3 says, “Now his master saw that the LORD was with him and how the LORD caused all that he did to prosper in his hand.”Even when he was wrongfully accused and imprisoned, Genesis 39:23 says, “The chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph’s charge because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made to prosper.”

Now, how could Abraham or Joseph received blessings even under the refinement? Some people receive no blessing at all but face only difficulties while under the refinement. The difference is made when you have a heart that can obey or not.

To possess faith like pure gold and become the Father’s true child who is worthy to enter heaven and New Jerusalem, you need refinement. In the course of refinement if you can discover yourself, obey the word of God, and change, then you will receive blessings under the refinement.God allows it, because it is necessary.

If you take the refinement with thanks, God cannot but give you blessing.Instead of discovering and changing themselves, however, some people rather grumble and complain during the course of refinement. They grumble against their surroundings and others, complain about their situations, and they even bear grudges against the church and God.

Moreover, when they face trials or tests due to their sin, instead of repenting and turning back from their sin, they try to make excuses. If they keep such a heart and attitude, they can never receive blessing during the course of refinement.Of course, when God refines you through money, chances are that you may receive no financial blessing at all.

Even in this case, if you rejoice and give thanks always, God will feed you, clothe you, and guide you in all means.Even if you don’t enjoy sufficient financial blessing, God will fill your needs by this and by that; therefore God will eventually lead you to prosperity.

Therefore, if you ever find difficulties in the course of refinement, please check yourself whether you are truly ready to obey or not. Those who are ready with an attitude of obedience can find the cause of refinement and resolve it.On the contrary, those who are not ready find it hard to discover its cause. Even if they do discover it, they don’t try to change. Please, become a completely obedient man just like Abraham, Joseph, and Noah.May you always find yourself under the strong protection of God the Father and receive blessings, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, the rain fell upon the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. And thus, the sea level gradually rose. At first, the water lifted the ark of Noah from the surface of the earth. As the sea level rose, the ark began to float over the water.Eventually, the level rose up enough to cover the highest mountains.

But then, Genesis 7:20 says that even after the mountains were covered, the water increased by 15 cubits higher.15 cubits is equivalent to approximately 7.5 meters. And it is precisely half of 30 cubits, which was the height of Noah’s ark. Therefore, the fact that the high mountains were covered and the water increased by 15 cubits more means that the ark could freely float without being caught by anything.

When a ship floats, the bottom side of the ship is under the water. The more it is loaded with people or cargo, the lower its bottom sinks. The ark of Noah was fully loaded with animals and food. Therefore, if the water level increased by half the height of the ark, the ark could float freely.

Without such bottom clearance, the bottom of the ark could have hit the summit of a high mountain. Then, the ark could have been in a dangerous situation as a ship striking a reef. Now, during the judgment of great flood, the water rose up 15 cubits higher than the highest mountains.

As a result, just as said in Genesis 7:21-23, all flesh that moved on the earth, all birds, all flocks and herds and every beast and swarming thing that moved upon the earth, and all mankind died.Although birds could fly, they couldn’t find a place to land since the high mountains were covered by the water, and they fell into the water and died. “All that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.”It was the complete judgment that not a single man or animal that didn’t enter the ark could escape.

It is the same with the Great White Throne Judgment which will soon take place. On that day, all mankind that has existed from the beginning will stand before the judgment of God. (Elijah, Enoch, Abraham, and Moses; these four are the exceptions. They are the highest by the spiritual rank, and they will support God the Trinity during the Judgment.)

Without any exception, those whose name is not written in the Book of Life will receive the sentence of eternal death, and fall down to either the lake of fire or of brimstone in hell. It is just as 2 Corinthians 5:10 says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Genesis 7:24 says, “The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days.”In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the 17th day of the 2nd month, the rain fell upon the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. And so, until the 17th day of the 7th month, the water prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.

When the high mountains of the earth were covered by the water, the earth looked similar to the initial stage of the earth.Genesis 1:2 says, “…the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.”Before the actual work of 6 Day creation, the entire earth was under the water.

The situation of the initial stage of the earth was reproduced during the great flood. The record that the entire earth was under the water for 150 days is true and it is a fact. The flood of Noah is not a myth or legend. It was a huge event that actually took place. There are many evidences to prove it.

Scripture

Genesis 7:13~16
[13] On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,
[14] they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds.
[15] So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life.
[16] Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is 112th Lecture on Genesis. As you can see, Genesis Chapter 7 explains that the specific number of 8 people (Noah, Noah’s wife, Noah’s three sons, and their wives) entered the ark. And then, every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds, entered Noah’s ark. Of course, only the number that God set for each species was drawn by the original voice to enter the ark.

All other animals that didn’t enter the ark couldn’t escape the death by the judgment of the flood.Yet, there was an exception. They were the aquatic animals. The aquatic animals including fish could survive the judgment of the flood even though they didn’t enter the ark.

“It is obvious. They were supposed to live in the water. It’s natural that they survived the flood.” You may think it wasn’t a big deal. The fact that the aquatic animals didn’t face extinct during the flood that covered the entire earth, however, was a ‘MIRACLE.’Why is that?Let me tell you why by taking fish as an illustration.

Basically, there are two kinds of fish. They are saltwater fish that live in the saline water (that comprises the oceans), and there are freshwater fish that live in fresh water such as rivers and lakes.Except a very few, saltwater fish cannot live in fresh water, and vice versa. If saltwater fish come into fresh water, or freshwater fish, into saltwater, they will soon die. It is because phenomenon of osmosis takes place due to salinity difference between freshwater and saltwater.

Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of solvent molecules in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides of a membrane (from lesser solute concentration to greater).Simply speaking, if salinity inside a cell is lower than salinity on the outside, then fluid from the inside of the cells moves outside. If salinity inside the cells is higher than outside, then fluid from the outside moves inside.

For example, if you put your hands in pure water for a long time, your hands become swollen. It is the result of osmosis. This phenomenon takes place as water is absorbed through your skin because the salinity of the water is lower than that of your body fluid.

Now, the fresh water fish’s system to control this osmosis is completely different from that of the saltwater fish’s system. Let me briefly explain it to you though it may be a little bit hard to understand. However, if you understand it though, you will surely realize that it was a rather amazing fact that no fish became extinct during the flood of Noah.

For fresh water fish, their body fluid has higher salinity than that of the fresh water they live in.Consequently, a phenomenon should take place that your body should become swollen after immersion for quite a while in water (like in a bathtub). However, it doesn’t happen to fresh water fish. They just live well without their bodies becoming all swollen up. It is due to their special system to control osmosis. They constantly discharge the absorbed water through urination, but they actively reclaim salts from body fluid.Through this, they can maintain the constant level of salinity inside their body.

On the contrary, saltwater fish live in salt water such as oceans whose salinity is much higher than that of their body fluid. Without proper system to control osmosis, saltwater fish would lose their body fluid and die as if they were preserved in salt. However, they live well in the oceans. The reason is that they take in a lot of salt water while urinating only a little. And thus they are not drained of their water. Meanwhile, they discharge excess salt intakes through special cells of their gills. As a result, they can maintain a constant level of salinity in their body fluid.

God the Father already gave freshwater fish and saltwater fish an ability to survive by adapting themselves to their living environment. As you may understand this, would it be possible to make both freshwater fish and saltwater fish live together in a common environment? It would be impossible with the common sense of the world.

However, this impossible thing happened during the flood of Noah. The flood of Noah took place all over the globe. Even the highest mountains of the earth were under the water. The distinction between freshwater and saltwater became meaningless. And freshwater fish and saltwater fish had to live under the same aquatic conditions of their environment. They didn’t live like that for just a couple of days, but for about 300 days minimum until the ground was dried up.But not a single aquatic animal species became extinct, but all of them were kept.

How could it be possible?Although it seems impossible with common sense of the world, there was a reason that made it possible. That is, the water that covered the entire earth was neither freshwater nor saltwater of this earth, but it was of the second heaven. And that water contains the power of God.

This church owns the evidence to actually prove this fact. It is the “Sweet Water Aquarium.” The “Sweet Water” is the drinkable water from which salty sea water was turned into freshwater by my prayer, and God put His power into this water. When people drink this water or apply it to their body by faith, various kinds of diseases are healed; some came to have better eyesight, and others came to have double eyelids.

In October 2007, FDA of the US reported the test results of the quality of Sweet Water. It was examined in 5 fields under the classification concept as a functional mineral beverage that included testing for mineral composition, acute oral toxicity, primary skin irritation, and pesticide content. The test results verified its safety and superiority. It was also verified to have even more mineral content than the world-renowned wells of France and Germany.

Another amazing fact about this Sweet Water is that freshwater fish and saltwater fish can live together in this Sweet Water. It is the evidence of the amazing power of God.It is just the same as the water that came down from the second heaven during the flood of Noah that had the power of God so that all the aquatic animals could survive.

In fact, the Sweet Water Aquarium is actually a much greater work of God than the flood of Noah.It is a miracle, of course, that freshwater fish and saltwater fish can live in the same water, but it is much more impossible for them to adapt themselves to live in such a small area and live together.

Since freshwater fish live in the waters such as rivers and lakes, they tend to adapt themselves well to temperature change and various living environments. On the other hand however, saltwater fish live in vast oceans where their living environments hardly changes, and thus they are very sensitive even to very minor changes. Chances are that they could suffer mass extinctions even under small changes in their environments. They can survive only when salinity, the amount of oxygen, carbon dioxide, ammonia, nitrous acid, nitrate concentrations, acidity, temperature gradients, micro-elements and so on are all within proper levels.

Well, even if what I’m saying sounds quite complex and seems hard to understand, just bear with me and think that there are such things as I explain.Only remember that such sensitive saltwater fish are living well in the Sweet Water Aquarium!

Besides, some fish are gentle and mild fish, while others are aggressive. What if these fish of opposite natures are forced to live together in a small area? Those gentle and mild natured fish may find it hard to survive because they would suffer due to the aggressive ones. In given natural environments, freshwater fish and saltwater fish cannot really confront each other, hence nothing can provoke their aggression.

If they are forced to live together, however, chances are that the aggression may be provoked. Moreover, many kinds of fish eat various different kinds of food. Yet still, they are all living together in harmony in the same space; it is truly amazing.

As you can see, the Sweet Water Aquarium is the ‘dream aquarium’ that surpasses all sorts of impossible conditions. And it is the vivid evidence that proves that the flood of Noah in the Bible was a true and factual historical event.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

Due to judgment of great flood, many changes occurred to the earth as well. Its topography, climate, and ecosystem became different from the days before the flood. The reason was because, first, God withdrew the original light. The more critical reason however, lies with the world-wide flood itself.

Long before the judgment of great flood, even before human cultivation began, another judgment was executed on the earth. It was the judgment of fire against the dinosaurs that were expelled from the Garden of Eden. However, the judgment of fire and the judgment of flood are greatly different in many aspects. The objects of the judgment of flood were all the people and land animals that didn’t enter the ark. The objects of the judgment of fire, however, were only dinosaurs.

During the judgment of flood, the gates to the spiritual realm were opened over the entire globe, and water came down from the second heaven. However, during the judgment of fire, fire came down only to the places where dinosaurs were found. Therefore, the animals other than dinosaurs received no great damage by the judgment of fire. By the judgment of the flood however, except the people and animals that entered the ark, all living land creatures were destroyed all at once.

From now on, I will tell you what kind of changes occurred to the earth due to this judgment of flood. As you dive deeper and deeper down into water, you can feel the water pressure gradually increases. And you cannot move as freely as you do outside the water. Since the water covered the highest mountains during the judgment of flood, you can imagine how great the water pressure might have been!Because of that water pressure, the crust of the earth changed.

To help you understand better, here is the interior structure of the earth. Beneath the crust layer is the ‘mantle’ layer, and underneath the mantle is the core. Simply put, the surface of the earth where we stand ‘floats’ on the mantle layer. The temperature of the mantle adjacent to the crust is about 500 degrees Celsius, and about 5,000 degrees adjacent to the boundary with the core.

It is just as Job 28:5 says, “The earth, from it comes food, and underneath it is turned up as fire.”The interior structure of the earth was revealed only in the modern times, but the Bible, which was written thousands of years ago, already recorded that the inner part of the earth is as hot as fire. By the way, since the thickness of the crust as well as its constituents are different from place to place, their stability is also different from place to place. Some places have a solid and stable crust, while other places it is soft and unstable.

What would happen to these different places if the same water pressure were applied to them? When you squeeze a balloon the other side of the balloon will billow. As you keep squeezing it harder and harder, the side that billows will eventually explode. By the same token, when an enormous amount of water pressure was applied to the crust due to the judgment of flood, the solid crust withstood the pressure and subsided or sank down, but the soft crust billowed and exploded.

This phenomenon took place all over the earth. When the earth’s surface elevates due to a certain force, it is called (tectonic) uplift. When it sinks down, it is called subsidence.

The water pressure was not the sole factor affecting the changes of the crust.During the judgment of flood, the earth was under the water for about 150 days, and the water was not calm as in lakes. Since the earth is located between the sun and the moon, there is gravity affecting the earth.Due to these forces of gravity of the sun and the moon, the water that covers the earth bulge out to both sides.

On top of this, the earth rotates once a day.As the earth rotates while the water is kept still buy the earth’s gravity, the water sweeps the earth. This water that sweeps the earth knocks down rising hills such as mountains by erosion. As it drives the ground from the knocked-down hills, the ground piles up on a low plain. This phenomenon took place for about 5 months all over the world.

As its result, sedimentary layers appeared on the crust. The topography of the earth changed greatly and became much different from the days before the flood.Scientists say that it takes a long period of time for a sedimentary layer to aggregate, and they present this as grounds for evolution. Of course, it takes long time for a sedimentary layer to be created. However, through the world-wide mega-sized flood described, many sedimentary layers can also come into existence in less than a year.

Therefore, the result of study of the scientists of the world who exclude the event of Noah’s flood, is not correct. If they acknowledge that the Bible is true, and study the event of the Great Flood, they can get the accurate facts about the history of the earth. If they accept the facts that the uplift and subsidence of the crust took place due to the Great Flood, and that a sedimentary layer can appear in a short period, they can answer many questions of earth science.

Scripture

Genesis 7:11~12
[11] In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.
[12] The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This is 111th Lecture on Genesis. In the last lecture, I explained the first part of Genesis 7:11.The Judgment of Flood in the days of Noah can be regarded as an antitype of the Judgment of the White Throne.Water was used to judge the world for the judgment of flood, and fire, for the other. Regarding this, 2 Peter 3:6~7 says, “(…water) through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.”

Everyone except Noah the righteous and his family was destroyed by water at the Judgment of the Flood. At the Great White Throne Judgment, those who are not recognized as righteous as not believing in the Lord will fall down into the lakes of fire and of brimstone. Therefore, as you listen to the words about the Judgment of the Flood, you shouldn’t just regard it as an old tale. I urge you in the name of the Lord to find an answer to how to prepare yourself for the upcoming Great White Throne Judgment.

Now, Genesis 7:11 continues to say, “…on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.”The judgment of great flood finally began. At this moment, drops of tears fell down from the eyes of Father God. And these tear drops wrote a word on His garment, it was “Expectations”.It contained the meaning that He would wait again with expectation, and that He would surely accomplish it.

What then has He expected and waited for? He expected to see ‘true children’ emerge through human cultivation which would again take place beginning with Noah. With His tears on His garment, God wrote His strong will that He would surely accomplish.

The scripture explains in detail how the flood took place and how it came upon the earth. It says, “…all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.”People of today interpret this verse to mean that it took place on the earth. That is, the fountains burst open in the deep sea, and a great amount of rain fell down from the sky.

By the flood, however, even the highest mountains were covered by the water.Would it be possible if the fountains of the sea burst and the rain fell from the sky?Common sense might tell you “No, not possible”. If the great flood took place because the fountains of the sea burst and the great rain fell down, where did such an enormous amount of water go after the flood?

People cannot answer with their knowledge and common sense. Therefore, you should not search for the answer from this fleshly world. You should know the fact that it has something to do greatly with Eden, in the spiritual world.

Let’s briefly review the previous lectures first. The earth where we live in belongs to the first heaven; the Garden of Eden, to the second; and the Heavenly Kingdom, to the third.I said that the second heaven is divided into two domains. One it the domain of light which is called ‘Eden,’ and the other domain of darkness is the realm of evil spirits.

The Garden of Eden, where the first man Adam and Eve lived, is a special area that was created in Eden, the domain of light. Although it is called ‘Garden,’ it is not a small garden; it is too huge for this earth to be compared to it. Since the ‘Garden’ of Eden is so huge, just how huge is the entire area of Eden?Just as the space you can see is endless, Eden in the second heaven is a limitlessly huge space.

Out of this huge Eden, a river flowed. That’s why Genesis 2:10 says, “Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers.”The water of this river in Eden was used in the judgment of Noah’s Flood. When the scripture says, “the fountains of the great deep burst open” means that the fountains in Eden burst open.

Likewise, “the floodgates of the sky were opened” means that the passageways between the second heaven and the first heaven were opened. As its result, the water in Eden of the second heaven came down to this earth of the first heaven through the passageways.

And the scripture says “the floodgates.”It is not “floodgate,” but “floodgates” in plural form. It tells us that not only one passageway between the second and first heavens was opened, but the passageways in many parts of the earth were all opened. Therefore, a great amount of water fell down to this earth at the same time.

The Bible records the things from the second heaven came down to the first heaven in other parts. Psalm 78:23~24 says, “Yet He commanded the clouds above and opened the doors of heaven; He rained down manna upon them to eat and gave them food from heaven.””Manna” that the Israelites ate in the wilderness after they came out from Egypt was also from the second heaven. And the fire that Elijah the prophet pulled down from the sky to defeat 850 prophets of Baal and of the Asherah was also form the second heaven.

You also witnessed many wonders with your eyes and confirmed that the second heaven exists. Most of you saw the clouds swirling and disappearing. That is, for a thing that belongs to the second heaven to appear in the first heaven, a gate in the sky must open.

The Four Living Creatures are involved in the opening of the gates of the sky. When a thing of the second heaven comes down to the first heaven, it should be transferred between the spaces in different dimensions. And it is the 4 living creatures that have the authority over this transfer. You should not think the first and second heavens are like the upper and lower floors of a building. If you drill a hole between the upper and lower floors, both the floors are drilled through. But the second heaven and the first heaven are in different dimensions.

And the authority to open and close the gates of the spiritual realm between the 1st heaven and the 2nd heaven belongs to one of the 4 living creatures. It is the Eagle-like creature that has the authority. This Eagle-like creature took the main role when the water from the fountains of the deep in Eden came down to the earth for the Judgment of the Flood.

Now, Genesis 7:12 says, “The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.”To cause the earth to be covered with the water, God sent down the rain for 40 days and 40 nights. God could have the earth submerged under the water in just a day, but why did He make it rain for 40 days and 40 nights?

It is because the number 40 contains a special meaning. Before God created the earth, there was a great revolt by Lucifer in the spiritual realm. The archangel Lucifer that received the most love from God, rebelled against God along with one third of the angels.

Regarding this, 2 Peter 2:4 says, “For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment.”And Jude 1:6 says, “And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.”

As you can see, the revolt of Lucifer was soon repressed. But God the Father had to suffer in His deep heart because of this. And He felt a great sense of void.Around this time the spiritual realm was formless in state even for that moment. And it was described as “The earth was formless and void” in Genesis 1:2.

This formless moment in the spiritual realm was expressed in the time format of the fleshly world as number ’40.’ However, it doesn’t mean that the spiritual realm was formless and God was hurt in His heart exactly for 40 days after Lucifer’s revolt. When the number that corresponds to the time in the spiritual realm was expressed in the number of this earth, it was number ’40.’

According to the meaning contained in the number 40, God sent rain for 40 days and 40 nights for the judgment of the flood. Therefore, when it rained for 40 days and 40 nights during the judgment of the flood, the same pain of the heart that God suffered at the rebellion of Lucifer was contained in it.He began human cultivation to gain true children, but He had to judge all the people with the water; can you imagine His heart? He was hurt and His heart was burning, and it was contained in the incident that God sent rain for 40 days and 40 nights.

Our Jesus also began His public ministry with 40 days of fasting. Before Moses the prophet received the Commandments, he also fasted for 40 days. I myself fasted for 40 days during the winter vacation in 1981, when I was a junior in seminarycollege. Back then, it was the coldest winter in 60 years, but I still went into a cave at the fixed hour, and I prayed kneeling down. God used to help me whenever I fasted, but He didn’t help me at all for that time.

Later when I was in prayer, God the Father told me why I had to fast in great agony all by myself. He said, “During the 40 days of your fasting, I didn’t turn away from you, but I trained you intentionally. Compared to the fasting that I helped you with, when you finished the fasting with your own strength and endurance, your ability became many times greater.”

That is; as I finished the fasting with my own strength and will, my will power and endurance could be stronger, and I would become able to overcome any trials or refinements.

For the last 4 years, I took the similar spiritual training like this. It was easiest for me to trust and depend on God and to obey His will, and I was happiest when I did that. To such a man like me, God the Father told me not to depend on Him, but to do it on my own. And then, it seemed as if God completely avoided me; it was so desolate and so very suffocating. It was a time period of 4 years that passed like this. For these years, I had to face very painful days.

But it turned into justice, and you could make amazing spiritual growth. Even when you filled only 10%, the 90% of justice that I filled was added to it, and so many of you came to the rock of faith and into spirit. Moreover, God laid the foundation to accomplish the providence of the end time for this church. As you can see, until the providence of God is fulfilled, the period of time and the numbers are not at all meaningless.

Dear brothers and sisters, There was another important reason that God sent rain for 40 days and 40 nights. It was to preserve the maximum traces of the earth that existed before the flood.

What would have happened if God had sent the tremendous amount of water down to the earth in a day or a few days?In Korea, when there is heavy rain in summer, it causes terrible loss in many places.

If the rain had been much heavier than this summer rain, how many more things would have been damaged? The remnants of the earth’s civilization would have been completely destroyed. Just as the water gradually fills up a glass, the water of Noah’s flood gradually covered the earth from the surface for 40 days and 40 nights.

That’s why the remnants of the civilization before the flood could be preserved. The Pyramid in Egypt is such a good example of this. Besides this, the remnants of the ancient civilization still remained in many parts of the earth. Through this, God allowed Noah’s descendants to discover the clues of the Garden of Eden and the spiritual realm. As you can see, the flood of Noah contains truly many meanings.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in this lecture, you studied how the great flood began to take place. The heart of God the Father was so hurt when He executed the judgment of the flood. It is just as Ezekiel 18:23 says, “”Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord GOD, “rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?””

But the sin and evil in the days of Noah reached the limit where it couldn’t avoid the judgment by the standard of justice. Thus God the Father executed the judgment shedding tears, but He had another expectation anew. That is; He expected to gain ‘true children’ through human cultivation which would start again from Noah.

How much can you understand in heart this long waiting of the Father? The heart of the Father who has waited ‘a thousand years like a day and a day like a thousand years’ until He gains true children who can truly share hearts;I hope that you will understand such a heart of God the Father and quickly come into spirit and whole spirit. May you become a true child who can truly please in God’s sight, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!
